How do I pay for parking in Visitor Parking Lots?
Coin Payment in Visitor Parking Lots:
- Insert coins into the coin slot in denominations totaling $1.00 to obtain a parking receipt for one hour of parking. Should you wish to obtain more than 1 hour of parking, you must insert coins in $1.00 increments until you are satisfied with the expiry time displayed in the clock window. Maximum payment for visitor lots is $5.00. By inserting $5.00 into the meter your expiry receipt will be for 4:30pm. Each deposited coin is acknowledged by the meter and show on the LCD screen. The clock window reflects your expiry time.
- Once you reach the total payment for your desired duration of stay, press the Print Ticket button (green) and a receipt for your dashboard will be produced in the slot in the bottom right side of the meter. By pressing the Print Ticket button (green) you accept responsibility for your transaction. Meter does not provide change.
- Place receipt in plain view on your dashboard with expiry time face up.
Credit Card Payment in Visitor Parking Lots:
- Insert credit card stripe down to the right into the credit card slot. Push card until you feel resistance and the card cannot go further.

- To select time to park, press the Time button or Maximum Time button below the credit card slot. By pressing the Time button once you receive 1 hour of parking, twice provides two hours, three times provides 3 hours of parking, and four times provides 4 hours of parking. If you press the Time button five times the meter flashes Maximum Amount Reached and provides you with a receipt expiring at 4:30pm. If you press the Maximum Time button the meter shows a $5.00 payment.
- Press the Print Ticket button (green). This action indicates you accept responsibility for your transaction.
- Place receipt in plain view on your dashboard with expiry time face up.

How do I cancel during the payment process?
At anytime during the payment process you can turn the Cancel button (red) to cancel your payment. This either returns your coin inserted or cancels your credit card transaction. Transaction Cancelled will flash on the screen. You may either choose to leave the lot or begin the process again.
I purchased too much time for my stay. Can I get a refund?
Once you press the Print Ticket button (green) you have paid for your transaction. You can follow up by immediately calling our inquiry line at 1-877-426-0007. If you purchased the wrong amount using a credit card you will need to dispute the charge with your credit card company. Coin transactions are dealt with on an individual basis.
I inserted coins but canceled the transaction. My money wasn’t returned. What should I do?
- Try to turn the cancel button again. If money is not in the return slot, call the maintenance line at 1-877-426-0007. Your claim will be registered and coin overages can be traced back to individual receipts.
- Check the receipt slot. You may have accidentally pressed the Print Ticket button rather than turning the Cancel button (red). If receipt was produced and you do not wish to use the time you purchased, a claim must be made through inquiries at 1-877-426-0007.
I inserted my coin but nothing happened. What is the problem?
- Check to ensure you inserted the minimum amount of coin required for parking. For example in student parking lots, the minimum amount is $2.00. At least $2.00 must be inserted into the meter before a transaction can happen.
- LCD screen shows the value of the coins it has accepted. Ensure that $2.00 is accepted before your press the Print Ticket button (green).
- If minimum amount has not been inserted a prompt of Insufficient Funds will come up on the screen when you try to press the Print Ticket button.
- If all have been covered you may call the maintenance line at 1-877-426-0007 and report the issue. Technician will remotely view the meter to either provide further instruction or your vehicle information will be taken for enforcement to not issue a tag as payment has been accepted.
- Any claim of coin being lost in the parking meter can be verified upon a collection of the meter. Technicians will then inform Customer Service and claim will either then be rejected (if no overage is found) or accepted (if the meter shows an overage of coin).
Precise coin selector technology is extremely accurate; each coin inserted into the meter is registered by a series of sensors and is associated to a produced parking receipt.
What happens if I inserted my credit card incorrectly and now it is stuck?
- Do not leave the meter!
- Call the maintenance line at 1-877-426-0007 to report your issue.
- If you do not touch any buttons, the card will be returned within 5 minutes. If you need to move your car closer to the meter because of weather then do so. If your card is in bad condition it may not come loose and a technician may have to retrieve it for you.
- Credit cards may also get stuck if you force your card in while the meter display shows Wait a Moment Please. In this case do not press any buttons. You must wait until the screen clears and then the meter should release your card. You will need to start the process again.

Parking invoices are issued for one of the following reasons:

If none of these explanations apply to you and your situation, contact Precise ParkLink (West) Ltd.
