Parking & Transit


Transit options to get to a SIAST campus location near you. Please use environmentally-friendly alternatives, such as public transportation and car pooling, whenever possible.

On-Campus Parking


  • Parking fees apply Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Parking is free ONLY after 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, and all day during weekends and statutory holidays
  • Student and visitor parking is available on a first come, first serve basis
  • Illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed, towed and/or impounded. To avoid receiving a parking ticket, ensure you:
    • Comply with all signs, SIAST parking policy (O-1.6) (pdf) and city bylaws
    • Correctly display a valid parking ticket
    • Park correctly as indicated by guidelines, curbs, signs, headers, disabled zones, etc, and do not obstruct the flow of traffic
    • Park only in designated areas
  • Payment options include:
    • Cash (change is available in the bookstores)
    • Credit card

Student Parking

  • $2 per day
  • Each campus has designated parking areas for students
  • Purchase daily pass from units located within the student parking lots
  • Ensure your pass is clearly visible in your vehicle
  • The daily rate includes in/out privileges subject to parking stall availability

Visitor Parking

  • $1 per hour
  • Maximum daily rate of $5
  • Each campus has designated parking areas for visitors
  • Purchase daily pass from units located within the visitor parking lots
  • Parking pass must be clearly visible in your vehicle
  • The daily rate includes in/out privileges subject to parking stall availability

Disabled Parking

Designated parking stalls are currently available for disabled students or members of the general public at each campus location free of charge.

Beginning in the 2012-13 academic year, designated disabled parking for these groups will only be available through metered parking, a pay and display system, or a combination of both. 

Any person utilizing a disabled parking stall must have either a permanent Saskatchewan Government Insurance or a temporary Saskatchewan Abilities placard. Employees requiring a short-term, disabled parking stall due to a walking restriction must produce medical documentation stating the distance of the walking restriction and the length of time special disabled parking privileges will be required.

Federal Tax Credits for Public Bus Passes
If you purchase a weekly or monthly bus pass (regardless of which city you live in), you may be eligible for a federal government public transit tax credit.

  • Keep your expired bus passes and receipts indicating  proof of purchases
  • Write your name and address on the back of each pass
  • Visit the federal tax credit for public transit passes website for more details

Saskatchewan Transportation Company Passes for SIAST Students
Students travelling from Regina to take classes at the SIAST Palliser Campus in Moose Jaw can purchase monthly bus passes with the Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC). Passes are sold at Palliser's Tuck Shop (located across from the cafeteria).
