Basic Education Graduation Ceremony

SIAST's Basic Education Advantages
SIAST's Basic Education programs encompass many program areas that focus on helping students who want to develop academic and job readiness skills (as required by the labour market), and gain the academic prerequisites required for further education and training.

Because we understand and appreciate the diversity of the student population we serve, we combine our academic instruction with other activities that contribute to each student's career path and personal development.

Academic Upgrading Opportunities
Each SIAST campus offers Basic Education academic upgrading programs and courses in the evening and/or during the day on a part-time basis. The following academic upgrading courses and programs are available at SIAST:

  • Adult High-School 30-Level Credit & Bridging Courses
  • GED Grade 12 Equivalency
  • GED Testing
  • English Language Training
  • Literacy Skills
  • Non-Credit Courses (SIAST Woodland Campus)
  • Online Distance Learning
