Mathematics for Health Care Professionals (MATH 1806)
You will review basic mathematical concepts that are needed in a clinical setting to solve drug dosage problems. You will use dimensional analysis as a method of converting units and calculating dosages and IV flow rates.
This on-line course features video demonstrations and animations of mathematical procedures, as well as interactive exercises and quizzes that you can repeat until you are comfortable with the material. There is no instructor. If you are in the NEPS program and are required to take this course, your progress and your final quiz mark will be monitored to determine pass/fail status which may impact your access to future courses. You are free to take as many hours as you need to progress through the course, including on-line quizzes, as long as you are finished the course material by the end date of the particular course.
This course will show on your transcript with a mark of “AT” meaning that you attended the class but did not receive a formal mark.
