   A warm welcome to SIAST from the Human Resources team. We are a diverse group of professionals whose primary objective is to ensure SIAST's people practices result in the institution continuing as a leader in education. Human Resources provides training, coaching, tools and best practice research and information to enable SIAST to effectively manage our most valuable asset, our people. Human Resources recently restructured to be responsive to the needs of our clients and the external labour market. This restructure better positions us to tackle employer issues that are common nationally and globally. The People Strategies unit within our team provides innovative initiatives and services to help attract, develop and retain people, which supports employee and organizational effectiveness. Current areas of focus include strategic workforce planning and representative workforce initiatives. The HR Advisory unit consists of campus- based consultants operating as front-line service advisors equipping leaders to successfully lead their teams in accomplishing SIAST’s strategic goals.
