We recognize that people differ in many ways, including through life experience, ethnicity, religion, language, gender, physical abilities, sexual orientation and socioeconomic status. Our employee diversity enhances our ability to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse student population. 
A continued emphasis on the development of a representative workforce is one of SIAST’s strategic priorities. We’ve made progress on the related effort of our student population – roughly 20 percent of our learners are First Nations or Mètis, and we are making significant efforts to attract and retain Aboriginal employees.    |
