Fuhrmann Emergency Loans
The Fuhrmann Emergency Loan Program makes short-term (90 days repayment) emergency loans available to full-time students on an exceptional basis. Students must have exhausted all other sources of income and be able to demonstrate that they can repay the loan.
Typically, Fuhrmann Emergency Loans are available to students who have applied for and are eligible to receive a Canada and/or Saskatchewan Student Loan (or similar financial support) but have not yet received their first payment. A student’s situation is reviewed on an individual basis to determine if exceptional circumstances warrant a Fuhrmann Emergency Loan.
An applicant may apply for a maximum of $400 during any 12-month period. The application is completed by the student and verified through an appointment with a student counsellor.
